I’m excited! I have just created my first Fan page on Facebook, about my favorite subject: A healthy lifestyle.

It’s called,

“It’s Sexy to be Healthy

and a Healthy Lifestyle

is a Sexy Lifestyle”.

It has taken me close to 3 years to do that. I sure hope you like it. Facebook is very hot right now. That’s because it has finally been discovered by the online business community. Not that they didn’t know about it before. They just didn’t have the time or energy to figure it out. That’s pretty much how I felt till I created:

‘It’s Sexy to be Healthy and

a Healthy Lifestyle is a Sexy Lifestyle”.

It’s a long title I know, but it grabbed me at the time.

I plan to post many updates and I hope you will visit often. Right now I’m getting ready to publish my book: The Carbohydrate Addicts Handbook”. This is a very special project to me. It’s about what I did to save myself. How I gave up a so called healthy lifestyle and returned to Mother Nature’s version of a healthy lifestyle, the one designed to suit our body.

For some years now I have watched as more and more people gain weight, become obese and suddenly find themselves with type2 diabetes. Statistics tell us this now represents 60% of the population. They say this will grow to 80% by 2020. Yet, not so long ago obesity was rare and type2 diabetes was unknown.

Why am I so interested? I used to be one of them. Till I was 43, I never had a weight problem, nor did my friends or anyone in my family. Till the 80’s weight problems were rare and usually due to illness. We lived what had always been deemed a healthy lifestyle. One that had been passed down from our grandparents.

But then I had a mishap. Something went wrong during a surgical procedure. I suffered a cardiac arrest and a damaged thyroid. The doctor advised me to go on diet to avoid gaining weight.

I was told to adopt a new, modern healthy lifestyle.

I spent the next 20 years going from one diet to the next, losing weight only to eventually regain it with just that little bit more weight each time. I finally came to my senses. I suddenly remembered that till I was 43, and began to diet, I never had a weight problem. Somehow, that seemed connected. I have always been well informed and take a close interest in anything new and unusual. It was a bit like solving a puzzle. I remembered some major changes involving our old traditional diet which happened in the late seventies and suddenly everything fell into place. I went back to the original healthy lifestyle and started to eat the kind of food that was normal to me and most other people forty years ago.

Not only did I lose all the weight, but I suddenly realized that a lot of symptoms I had come to believe were normal had suddenly disappeared. Things like constant cravings, sudden urges to binge feelings of hunger less than an hour after I had eaten a large meal. I felt free, light and energetic. Feelings I had not experienced for twenty years.

I was informed enough to recognize that those were the feelings of carbohydrate addicts. I had cured my carbohydrate addiction the way I cured my tobacco addiction, without even knowing. That was more that 6 years ago and my weight remains stable. I have no doubt that as long as I keep to my old diet, it always will.

The carbohydrate addict’s manual reveals exactly what I did to revert to my old healthy lifestyle. It explains how I did it and why it works. Once you understand that you will realize that it will work for you too.

Five years ago I had one of those life-changing moments which come along so rarely. I was faced with a decision to act or to do nothing. That same morning, I had stepped on my bathroom scales and found to my horror that I was 80 kilos, the most weight I had ever carried.

I was past sixty, so you might think that at that age, I would have given myself permission to slip into a fat comfortable old age. Well, until that moment I had never even thought about it. What I did think was that I had to find a way to achieve permanent weight loss

I have always been active both in body and spirit. I try to work out with weights every day. If I exclude the last five years, I can look back thirty years, and say that I am honestly unable to remember a time when I was NOT on some kind of diet. It seems like I was always hungry, and I was always in the middle of a diet to either lose weight, or to stop regaining the weight I had lost from the previous diet.

I had to make a decision and I could have chosen to go either way. The easy way was to give up and accept old and fat. The hard way was to spend my remaining years always a little hungry and always battling those awful cravings. Neither option appealed to me or offered a very good quality of life. The choice was made even more complicated because I suffered a thyroid condition and I had dietary type2 diabetes.

So I gave it a lot of thought. I’m well read, I have many years experience in weight loss and I have tried just about every diet ever invented. I also have a really good knowledge of history. What struck me suddenly was an awesome inspiration, followed by an even more incredible realization.

At that moment, I knew, in theory, that I had discovered the answer to why everybody seems to be gaining weight. Why obesity is running rampant, and why type2 diabetes has become the greatest threat to health in the 21st century.

If I proved to be right, I had discovered what the world has not dared even hope for; ‘a simple way to lose all excess weight, and a way to keep the weight off permanently’.

I knew of course, that nobody would believe a theory from someone without a medical or a science degree, let alone any connection to at least one of the ‘pseudo’ voodoo sciences prevailing today. But frankly, I didn’t care. I just wanted to cure myself. I had discovered a third option which, if it worked, would enable me lose all the weight I wanted to lose and stop me from ever putting it back on again. That would mean I never had to feel hungry again and the cravings would be gone. Obviously, that is the choice I opted to take and I followed it until now…for five years.

I’m sure you are curious to learn how it turned out? Well, within about ten weeks, I found myself back to 65kilos, and I have hovered between 64 and 65 kilo for five years. But what really shocked me was that I stopped experiencing any of the type2 diabetes symptoms, which had plagued me for years.

I must confess that during the five years I expected someone, more qualified to publish a paper or something about the same discovery. To this day, I am amazed no one ever did. I have thought about why? Perhaps, on reflection, a cure for obesity is not what the world is looking for right now, at least not in the world inhabited by the food industry and the diet professions, who would probably be asked to fund the research.

I did realize though, that five years of continues practice on myself, represented a history of success, so I decided to risk damnation and publish a book to explain how I discovered a way to permanent weight loss, how it works, why it works and why no one ever has to be called ‘fat’ again.
The result is a book called; My Own Plan. It will be published on the internet in the next few days.

The book is in pre launch. You can visit the blog for the latest update and you are welcome to email me to get on my pre-launch notification list.
