Why is it taking so long to publish the book? Frankly it’s my fault. I’m a technical idiot and therefore have to rely on others for that side of things. So I realize I owe you some more information about me and about the book. You see it it written to expose today’s massive, ever increasing obesity statistics and to reveal
the reason why everybody is getting fat.

If you believe in statistics, then you should know that by 2020, 80% of the population will be fat. Are you going to be one of them? In a nutshell, my book is about what you can do to NOT become one of the 80%, even if you’re already obese, and how you can guarantee that your children won’t be either. The book will teach you how you can eliminate obesity for good – at least in your own family.

So who am I and what gives me the right to say the things I do?

I have lived for almost seventy years. During that time I’ve had more experience and gained more knowledge than most other people. That’s because I have traveled the world, I’m an avid reader, I have many interests and I keep myself informed.

I also happen to have a very good memory. I remember when those people, I talk about in my writings, were publicity hungry, busy bees, trying to create a quasi medical niche market. I also have a very clear recollection about the “cholesterol stuff up”, that became one of the results of their efforts. More than half the population is still paying for that mistake today.

I like to investigate when I see things that don’t make sense and diets definitely don’t make sense. Not once you realize that when I was young, people didn’t diet at all. Not unless they had an illness like diabetes or an under active thyroid problem.

People in those days were well fed, but we ate a very different diet to the one we call ‘normal’ today. This was a time when the vast majority of people, including myself, did not have a weight problem.

So what made me an expert on the subjects of obesity statistics, obesity causes, obesity facts, bad diets, and unsafe, homemade solutions.

Probably the fact that I was directly involved. You see, I was one of the thousands of victims who were told by the doctor; “better be safe than sorry, go get a cholesterol test.” Next thing I knew I was on a weekly schedule with a dietitian who was primed to cure my high cholestrol with a brand new diet.

I soon acquired my first weight problem. The ensuing twenty years of my life became like a giant jigsaw puzzle. I knew all the pieces, I just couldn’t work out how they fitted together.

I couldn’t let myself believe that so many genuinely qualified, professional people could shut their eyes to what would have been obvious to a 10 year old child: That understanding the effect of what we put into our digestive system is as important to our health as knowing the symptoms we might expect from any drug we are prescribed.

Foods should be viewed with the same degree of caution and professional scrutiny as anything else we put into our body. It should not have been possible for unqualified people to completely reverse a traditional diet that had been a standard for generations. It is frightening to realize that today, anyone’s vague concept of what looks good, smells good and is therefore good to eat will receive a zeal of approval as long as it is called a diet.

In fact, an approval is not even required. That means there has never been a safety check for any diet no matter how ridicules, dangerous or extreme it might be. No medical doctor or scientist could prescribe drugs on that basis. And aren’t we lucky they can’t?

So I’m very comfortable about sticking my neck out and telling you things that granted, someone more qualified should have told you more than 30 – 40 years ago. I won’t be filling my website with the usual list of suspect testimonials, I don’t need to. I trust your common sense and your instinct to recognize when you hear the truth.

You may not like the truth but I hope you agree with me that the truth is long overdue and that it’s time to act. Success is always the best revenge.

In the meantime, while I wait for a website to be finished, I have created a blog specifically for the new book. It has some content, including a video, which I know will interest you, so please check it out and register for the RSS feed. That way I can easily keep you updated.
