When you think about it, don’t you sometimes ask yourself; why is everybody getting fat?  Particularly when you know that most people, probably more than ninety-nine percent, have been on at least one diet. No doubt, every one of these people tried to do their best to lose weight permanently, at least once.  Often they have paid a sizable sum of money to buy the diet.  When you consider the massive focus today on diets and exercise, at the very least, the number of fat people should be diminishing, instead they are increasing at a rate that keeps on growing.

Is it unreasonable to expect that when you take advice from people who call themselves diet experts, it follows that you will get a result?  Not just a short term weight loss, but a result that can be called a real permanent weight loss.  The question is all the more relevant, when you remember that people have often paid large amounts of money to get a positive result. Yet, when the diet is over, not only does the lost weight return, but dieters are even bigger than before they started. We have reached a point where very few people, including, I am sure, the diet experts, truly believe that a diet can work permanently.  So why diet?  Hope springs eternal. We all believe the next miracle cure for anything will be the one that works.  That’s why there are so many diet experts and why new ones pop up all the time.  After all, anyone can be a diet expert.  If even one of these diets proved to give a permanent weight loss, we would all know about it and nobody would be fat anymore.

So given all this advice by experts, is it not reasonable to expect to see a noticeable reduction in the number of fat people overall?  That’s not very likely, despite the fact that we now have more diets, and more diet advice than ever before.  Instead more people are getting fatter every day.  Seems, the more advice we get the fatter we get.

Do you realize that today, the majority of people are fat.  The number is sixty percent of the population, and still growing, (pun intended).  There is no sign to suggest that this trend will do anything but continue to increase.

It may shock you to learn that less than five years ago, fat people were still a minority.  What is your guess for the percentage in another five years, or worse, a decade?

The diet industry has a lot of excuses. They all blame the customers.  Not a single one of these experts have hinted at the possibility they may be working with bad information, in other words; maybe the diets are at fault.

The amazing faith displayed by these experts, is hard to understand when you consider all their countless failures.  Not one single diet has been scientifically tested and proved to work.  In fact, no science has been involved in any of them.  Diets are simply unproven theories, offered by people who are not qualified to tell you what, or how much, to put in your mouth.

So it is time to ask yourself; who are you going to listen to?  Unqualified, if well meaning people, who truly do not have a clue.  Or do you heed your gut instinct which says; “Listen to your body”.  Our body used to take care of our weight problems. We all have a metabolism which is designed to do that. The trouble is we have forgotten what to do with it. For years we have abused and confused our body with erratic diets and eating habits.  It is time we look at the facts and learn how to get a real permanent weight loss.
