I am so tired of misinformation and often complete nonsense when it comes to diets and genuine, permanent weight loss.  Every Diet Expert is self proclaimed and I have yet to see a diet which has been founded on scientific research with evidence of properly conducted human trials.

It’s as if we suspend our common sense when we respond to advice about any product remotely linked to our vanity.  Beauty products and weight loss products are probably the greatest examples.  We want to believe they work, we kid ourselves that they work and we blame ourselves when we realize they haven’t worked.

In the case of diets there is the added dimension of risk to our health.  Each time we trustingly embark on some new ‘cannot fail and it’s so good for us’ diet we take a risk.  Most times, all that happens is that within a month, sometimes a year, we find ourselves back to where we started, not just with the weight we had before, we now have extra weight.  Have you ever stopped to wonder why?

Everything has at least one reason.  Thirty to Forty years ago weight problems and particularly obesity were very rare.  People with medical conditions like an underactive thyroid or diabetes were practicably the only people who were permanently overweight, and type2 diabetes was unheard of.

What happened forty years ago, was the birth of the diet food industry and the new professions of nutritionist and dietician.  All these groups will tell you that over time, they have made an enormous contribution to the health and weight of us all.  I think it’s time we analyze that contribution.  How?  By taking a good look at the people we pass in the mall.  Are you seeing an increase in slim people? I don’t think so!

Forty years ago, we still relied on our body’s mechanism to control our weight as we had done for centuries.  An obesity Epidemic would have been a ridicules notion.  We knew by instinct what was good and what was bad for us to eat.  The percentage of overweight people was very small and obesity was almost unheard of.  When present, it was usually a medical condition not a food problem.

Unlike now, there was no need to seek a way to get permanent weight loss, we already had it and practiced it daily.

Today, sixty percent of our population is overweight, and the numbers are growing daily.  Many of these people are, or will go on to become obese.  Yet, never before, were there so many experts or products available to assist us to lose weight and to ‘get healthy’.  The diet industry is one of the biggest most lucrative industries on the planet and the most amazing thing about that?  The fact they virtually didn’t exist until forty years ago.

What is the second most amazing thing?  Not one of the diets so aggressively promoted for the past thirty years, have had to undergo scientific scrutiny.  No genuine data has been published and no trials have been conducted with human participants. Not for a single diet.

Like me, you might now realize that the growth of the diet industry originates at the same time and has kept well in step with the growth of the human body.  A coincidence?  I don’t think so!

Human beings were not designed to be overweight, nor were they designed to diet.  Nature had its own way to deal with the food we used to eat.  But like so often, we had to go one better than nature.  The price we have paid is to lose touch with our time worn instincts and our body’s ability to deal with the food we eat.  we have simply forgotten the rules about how and what to eat.  What is worse, we have caused damage to our body.

My Own Plan was written specifically to reverse the damage before it is too late and to get back to permanent weight loss…Forever!

and diets never work for long.   The planet may or may not survive, but it is becoming equally questionable whether or not we will be around to find out.

By the standards and advice of today’s ‘weight problem experts’, theoretically, humankind could not have survived.  We would be an extinct species by now.  Of course, that could not really have happened because the food these experts want us to eat simply were not available till the twentieths century.

By now, this should at least give you some food for thought.  If you hold doubts, let me point out that the diets promoted by these experts, and have been so readily accepted by the majority of people, have never undergone scientific scrutiny.  No human trials have ever been conducted to prove any part of what we call a diet actually works.  The diet advice we get today is based on urban myths, optimism and a strong belief that if foods look fresh and sound healthy and a feasible theory can be concocted to present it as a diet, then it must be good.   Often these diets don’t even pretend to be weight reducing.  We have come so far down this road, that we are ready to believe that a diet is good for its own sake.

It is tragic that this kind of mass deception can continue unabated when all it takes is a shift in perception to see what a fraud it really is.  Weight problems and obesity were not common issues in the sixtieths or even the seventieths.  People ate three meals a day, there was plenty of junk food around and there was no shortage of sweet products.  There were also no Nutritionists or Diet Food Manufacturers.  Wake up and get the solution before the cure kills you.

Five years ago I was overweight.  In fact, I was the heaviest I’d ever been.  I knew I had to diet but I also knew that diets had never worked for me in the past.  Within a year, the weight was always back and I was invariably bigger that when I started.

Over a period of thirty years, I had been on just about every diet invented, always with the same result. I would lose weight only to begin to put it all back on as soon as I stopped the diet.  Let’s be honest, nobody can diet forever.

So five years ago I made an inspired decision.  Whatever it took, I would find a way to cure my weight problems for good. I began by asking myself; how can I lose weight without a diet?  And how can I make it a permanent weight loss“?  I had to find a way that would keep the weight off AFTER I lost it because that’s where I had always failed before.

I took my search to places I doubt anyone had ever searched before and eventually, by luck or by fate I found that elusive solution. I spent five years using it, getting experience and tracking the results.  All the while, I watched and waited for someone more qualified to make the same discovery and publish a paper on it.

When nothing happened, not even when obesity was declared an epidemic, I came to the conclusion that I had an obligation to share what I had discovered. I felt five years of data would silence even the harshest critic. The fact is; I have discovered a genuine, permanent cure for my weight problems.  I have remained at my normal weight for five years and I have done it without a diet, with little if any exercise, and without counting a single calorie.  I have no doubt that anyone, who does not suffer a diet related medical problem, will see the same incredible benefits that I did.

As a result, I am really proud to be able to say that I have written a book, My Own Plan, by Kirsten Plotkin.  It’s an account of five years experience with my discovery.  I have no doubt it will be able to help many thousands of people to overcome their weight problems.

What makes it all the more important is the knowledge that weight problems and obesity have become a generational problem. They are affected by the habits and lifestyle of every family. I can now show you how to break that cycle and prevent weight problems being passed from one generation to the next.

By using the book My Own Plan, you will not only get back to your normal weight and stay there, but your entire family can do the same.  You have the power to make this be the last generation, at least in your own family, to suffer with any kind of weight problems.

My Own Plan will tell you how we have gone from a majority of slim people thirty years ago, to a majority of fat people today.  You don’t need a science degree to follow this book.  All you need is to decide to take this first chance ever, to do something about your weight which will actually work.  Not for a month, not for a year, but forever.
