I am very excited to announce that I have just published a book on the internet. It’s called, My Own Plan.
The book will be controversial. It is a shocking, eye opening condemnation of everything we think we know about diets and nutrition.
Today, we are urged to eat complex carbohydrates, lots of fruit and vegetables, a bit of protein and a small amount of reduced fat. This is not the diet on which we evolved and thrived for centuries, which made us the lean, healthy human beings we were till 40 years ago.
In the past, people knew which foods were good or bad. Their instincts must have worked, because they didn’t put on weight, they didn’t go hungry, they rarely became obese and type 2 Diabetes had never been heard of.
Then along came the Nutritionists, followed by the Dieticians. Here was a new pseudo science, presented as legitimate, but with not a shred of genuine scientific research to back it up.
We would not feed our animals on breakfast cereals, low fat snack foods, complex carbohydrates, and buckets of fruit and vegetables. If we are foolish enough to try, our pets become fat, listless and unhappy. Yet, we seem to accept this as a healthy diet for human beings.
Too many vested interests are in control of what we are told to eat. We need to take responsibility for our own food choices, not listen to those who preach what we know deep down, is false. We cannot afford yet another guru diet, which is not based on genuine science, which offers no genuine research, and no statistical trials with real human subjects.
Let’s make no mistake here; to these ‘experts’, we ARE the Research.
Sometimes we need to remind ourselves that we are mammals and although different mammals have different digestive systems, we cannot stand in the face of nature and decide to change the foods our digestive system has been designed to handle. Evolution simply doesn’t work that fast.Good intentions, even when genuine, are not valid proof of anything other than good intentions.
Nutritionists and Dieticians often proclaim that they have made a valuable contribution to our health and well being. This is a big statement, based on optimism, not science. Before you accept it, take a good look around and get the measure of the average person walking along a busy street today. Then ask yourself; where is the evidence?
Everyone of those people are likely to have been on at least one diet, probably many. Today, about 60% of people are classifed overweight. Many are already obese. Most will eventually slide into obesity. That brings them just one step away from type2 diabetes, to us, an unknown disease forty years ago.
We need to re-learn the right foods to eat because we have forgotten what they are. This book answers three important questions. Why is it so hard to lose weight? Why does it become harder to lose weight each time we diet? And why can it never be a permanent weight loss?
This book explains the cause of obesity, which may shock you. But if you follow it, you will cure your obesity and you will keep the weight
off permanently.
