The efforts to eliminate belly fat involve diet and lifestyle changes. No more late night meals, junk food treats and lots and lots of hours spend on the couch or in the armchair watching TV. Sweets, alcohol, fizzy drinks and even smoking hinder weight loss efforts, increasing the pressure put on the internal organs. You may work out as hard as you can, results will only appear if you adjust your diet too. Therefore, the attempts to eliminate belly fat should cover the complete daily program with everything that it involves.

First of all, clear your diet of all white flour products and sweets like cakes, candies, ice cream or biscuits. Try to replace these with fruits and vegetables since you’ll crave a lot if you are sweet-toothed by nature. Then, follow the rule of lean meat such as chicken or fish, and carefully choose healthy fats to consume in the meals, such as cold pressed oils, nuts, almonds and butter. There is no big sacrifice to eliminate belly fat by eating a healthy diet and doing a reasonable amount of physical activities. What about the rest of the life changes we’ve mentioned at the beginning of the article?

You should stay well hydrated and have a good night sleep. The eight-hour rest overnight regenerates the body and positively influences the metabolism, particularly when you go to bed at the same hour. This creates a very healthy regeneration cycle and the metabolism will be given a boost of energy in the right direction. Hydration on the other hand represents the key to weight loss in general. You cannot eliminate belly fat unless you drink around two liters of water and fresh fruit juice per day. Water helps you flush the toxins out of the system, prevents constipation and ensures a good functionality of the internal organs.

There are some things to avoid when trying to eliminate belly fat. Over-training is one first mistake people make when trying to get a flat abdomen. Working the belly muscles excessively will not necessarily reduce the fat but rather strengthen the muscles. It is a lot more important to focus on full-body training so that the fat may be burned systemically and harmoniously. Inevitably fat will melt away from the abdomen, the buttocks, the hips, the arms and legs, allowing your body to grow slimmer and fitter every day. Take the weight loss process gradually, and even when results are the expected ones, adopt a healthy routine to stay in good shape!

Use the one-two punch of good nutrition and a good training program to burn fat off your body and reveal beautifully sculpted muscles.

The best foods to eat for fat burning are those that don’t come in a bag or a box. Fruits, vegetables, lean meats and other natural foods can be the best fat burning foods.  Lean beef, chicken and fish give us protein to build muscle and lose fat.  To control hunger and help your body work efficiently, add some healthy fat..  The fats in avacados, nuts and olive oil are considered good fats.  Using this combination of fruits, vegegatbles, lean protein and healthy fats will help you burn fat off your body and increase your energy level.  The effects can be seen within just a few days.  This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t cook the food – natural foods means only foods with nothing added to increase their shelf life.  Shop the outside edges of the grocery store and stay away from the center aisles.  Not only will you get healthier and feel better if you eat like this, but you will also get the greatest benefits out of your exercise routine.

The best way to burn fat is not regular cardiovascular exercises such as a long run or a bike ride.  You will lose weight for a little while, but then you will hit a plateau – or worse, get bored and stop doing it.  Interval training will give you the same physical effects in a shorter time.

You don’t have to be a professional athlete or sprinter to do interval training – any time you push your body harder than you usually would for a short period of time, then go back to your normal level is considered an interval.  When you include intervals you force your muscles to work harder thus expend more energy to grow and recover.  When your muscles are using more energy, your body is burning fat.

Read this article which explains more about why this happens.

If you usually walk 3 mph every day, you can make that walk interval training by starting off with 60 seconds at 3.5mph to 4 mph.  After the high intensity walking interval, do 2 minutes at your usual intensity.  Do this 8 times, making your walk without warm up and cool down 24 minutes.  You should start your workout with 30 seconds at an even faster pace, followed by 60 seconds of the slower pace once you can easily do the 1 minute/2 minute interval.

For every second of high intensity exercise, follow with 2 seconds of low intensity. Your routine can be changed up any way you want.  Walk, cycle, swim, hike – interval training can be applied to any cardiovascular exercise.  You will not be bored and you will burn more fat.  Also, if you have to concentrate on how many seconds you are going fast and then how many seconds you are going slow you are paying attention to what you are doing and your time will seem to go faster.

Try combining this eating and exercise plan with some weight lifting – you will burn fat fast, and when the fat is gone you will reveal lean, strong muscle.

There are several fat loss programs that emphasize diet, HIIT and strength training, see some reviews of Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle here and Turbulence Training here.  Now that you know the basics you can always create your own program – or use one of the many programs out there that follow these principles.

Almost 108 million Americans were overweight or obese in 1999. Until now, obesity continues to be a serious problem and is predicted to reach epidemic levels through the year 2020.(Health Journal)

One way to control this scenario is to make people aware of the risks of being overweight or obese.

Here are several diseases that you are putting yourself in danger of if you are carrying various further pounds:

1. heart disease
2. stroke
3. diabetes
4. malignancy
5. arthritis
6. hypertension

Losing weight helps to go on and control these diseases. (Health Journal)

The quick weight loss methods which take a lot of  fire these days work out not give lasting results. More often than not, dieting methods which involve dietary drinks, foods and supplement or  pills do not work work.  Even if they do, the results are just temporary.

It is better to rely on a healthy weight loss option which will offer lifetime results. You should set realistic goals and not expect to lose numerous pounds in a short span of time.

Here are various tips on how you can lose those unwanted pounds the healthy way:

1.   Work out not starve your self.

The key to a healthier way of losing weight is: Act do not diet.

You may appear happy and feel that you are losing those unwanted flabs on your belly and thighs by skipping meals. But remember this is an illusion.  Your body cannot tolerate having insufficient food to fuel the energy on a daily basis for any length of time.

If you skip one or two meals a day, the stored fat that you so badly want to get rid of will be retained by your body to guard against food shortage.  Your metabolism will slow down and any fat burning will be severely impaired.   So if you were to eat just one single huge sandwich on the day, the energy it would generate would go directly to your problem region as stored fat.  (i.e. highs, buttocks, hips).

2.  Begin your day the right way.

Mothers constantly say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Have a healthy meal in the morning to jump-set your metabolism. (Health Journal)

Your food you eat after you wake up should be used to burn fat all day long.

3.  Eat small, healthy meals throughout the day.

Five  small-measured meals per day is better than three hearty meals. Eating often,  in small servings, will stop you over-eating. This will also enlarge your metabolism and make calories burn more rapidly.

4.  Resolve how much weight you need to lose.

Make your goals realistic. It is virtually impossible for you to lose 40 pounds in 2 weeks. Have a mindset that you want to eat healthy and to go on being healthy for the rest of your life.

When you get decided on how you will lose the weight, stick to it and ensure that you follow your own set of dieting rules.

5.  Drink lots of water.

Your body desires sufficient water  to burn fat and keep your cells hydrated and healthy.

6.  Avoid sugar as much as possible.

Create your sugar cravings around lots of sweet berries, nuts and dried fruits.   Eat lots of meat, poultry, fish seafood and other protein rich-foods. Sweets, sodas and pastries should be avoided.

7.  What about your fat intake.

Fat is not the culprit to being overweight. You need fat to maintain your weight at the recognized level.

There is such a thing as healthy fats. Olive, peanuts and canola oil get them. Tuna, salmon and mackerel get omega-3 fats which is enjoyable for the heart.

8.  Exercise.

Leave your car if  you are only going a few blocks from home, use the stairs instead of the elevator, jog, cycle or  skate. Use these activites and other home chores if you are too lazy to go to the gym and take exercise classes. Make sure you stay on track and that you keep you goals in mind.  Anything you do repeatedly to spend enegy will will soon find you shedding pounds.  that goes for even the most mundane activities.

It does not matter how much weight you mean or desire to lose. What counts is that you set realistic goals for yourself.

Go slow. If you have already lost 5 or 6 pounds, give yourself a break then try to lose the next 5 pounds.

Eat healthy, drink a lot of water, get enough sleep and exercise. This will give you a higher success rate in losing weight and improving your health. Make this your chance of a new, healthier you.

What does it mean when someone says they are living a healthy lifestyle? Typically, it means that they are eating a healthy diet, getting a moderate amount of exercise and maintaining a normal height to weight ratio. Doesn’t sound simple, does it? A great way to motivate yourself to live a better lifestyle is by hiring a personal trainer. Trying to balance an active life with a healthy life may get a bit easier if you have a physical fitness trainer there to help motivate you.

Exercise does not have to be something you avoid and dread. If you lead a couch potato lifestyle, then begin slowly and gradually increase your activity level as you reach the small goals you and your fitness personal trainer set. You may begin by simply using the stairs at work instead of using the elevator. Over time, you can integrate a walk during your lunch break. Eventually, your trainers training may encourage you to hit the gym to help increase your progress. Go at a pace designed according to your fitness level.

Eating right does not have to be a chore. Some personal training programs and certified trainers have knowledge of nutrition guidelines and can help give you ideas on healthier meal plans. They can suggest simple changes to make while on your next trip to the grocery store. Personal training programs can educate you as well as motivate you to get on the right path to eating better. Typically, they will ask you to make small food substitutions in your diet like eating more fruit and vegetables and eating less processed and refined foods. Over time, small changes can save calories and add nutrients to your diet.

A personal trainer can help you regulate your diet and show you which exercises to do to help stabilize your weight. To help you calculate what a healthy weight is for your height and body type, know your body mass index (BMI). You can calculate your BMI by dividing your weight by the square of your height, or go online and use the BMI calculating tool at www.hhlbisupport.com/bmi.

Whether you’ve let yourself go and now want to get in shape or whether you just don’t feel fit because you lack energy, a personal trainer can help you meet your lifestyle goals. It is beneficial to have someone there to help you integrate fitness into your routine, as well as encourage you to add healthier food choices to your life. Each little change gets you closer to the lifestyle goals you and your fitness personal trainer set for you.

You probably wonder what I mean by diet free weight loss. I mean you will be free of having to diets again. I would not suggest to anyone that they should diet. I have learned the hard way that diets will never work long term.  You see, they can’t your own body will not allow it.  You need to understand the reasons for this so you can adapt your life to suit your own body, rather than a prevailing trend.

During the past five years, I have become an expert on diet free weight loss. I happened to discover the main cause for the epidemic of weight problems we see today. I now know that our body will always resist a diet that cuts down on your daily calories.  Your brain perceives an extended shortage of food as a famine. When that happens, it will signal your metabolism to respond, to slow down, and to store up on reserves. That means fat.

The more often you put your body through the ordeal of a diet, the more weight you will gain between dieting.  Dieting is a no win situation.  You will always land right back where you started, with more fat than when you began.  If we do not do something to turn this trend around, at least in our own family, there will be very few people left who are still slim.  This is not the way human beings were destined to end up.

If we do not act to start to make some changes to what we eat, our fate is only a matter of time. We will all become fat.  Sixty percent of us are already there.  If you gauge the frequency by which you see overweight people today, you will realize it is not going to take very long for the rest of us to get there.

The only way to achieve what I describe as a diet free weight loss is to never embark on a diet at all.  I have spent five years practicing what I preach and I am living proof that it works.  Think about it:  If it works for me it will work for you too. I am not unique.  In fact, for me to lose weight has been far more difficult than it would be for most people. You see, I have what is called a thyroid condition which causes my metabolism to slow to a crawl.

Although I am medicated, I am still much less likely to hold a long term weight loss than most people. Yet I have done it, persistently, using my diet free weight loss plan for more than five years. Clearly I must be doing something right.

So what led me to discover a diet free weight loss plan?  When I was in in my early 40′s, I was diagnosed as a borderline diabetic. That was a little scary and I set out to diligently follow the advice of my doctor.  I quickly agreed to consult a dietician to learn the correct diet to prevent full blown diabetes.

Till that time, I had never had a weight problem. Sure, I’d sometimes put on a couple of pounds over Christmas, but like everyone else, all I had to do was to cut out sweets and cakes for a couple of weeks to bring the weight back to normal.  Sadly, that would not work today, but in those days, it was easy to deprive myself of sweets because diet cravings were unheard of.

The diet prescribed by the dietician was deceptively simple.  I was to eat three serves of carbohydrates to each serve of protein.  It was my first diet and it turned my regular eating habits completely upside down.  You see, I was used to eating the way my parents and their parents had brought me up to eat, which had served me well for forty years without causing me a weight problem.

We tend to think that everything new and modern is somehow superior to the old.  I embraced this new diet and stuck to it fervently, for three to four years.  I finally had to accept that my health had not improved, my weight had gradually increased and I had developed a powerful craving for bread.  That’s when I went on a dieting binge. I embarked on every new diet that came along and promised me a weight loss.  By this time, all that mattered to me was to get back to the weight I had before the first diet.

With each diet, I followed the same routine. I would stick to the rules till I lost the weight. I would then return to a normal, quite modest diet.  Then slowly but surely the weight would start to creep back, always with an extra bonus. I also noticed that with each diet it became more difficult and took longer to lose weight than it did with the one before.

My discovery of a diet free weight loss happened almost six years ago.  My weight had reached eighty kilo’s. That was the heaviest I had ever been and it shocked me. I was desperate and I knew I was at a cross road. If I dieted again, I would end up even heavier. If I did not diet I would still end up heavier because my diet cravings were causing me almost continuous feelings of hunger.

Of course, there was always the third option. I could give up and accept my fate. That seemed the worst option of all.  So I decided to forget everything I had ever been told about what foods to eat and what to avoid. Instead I would trust myself, my considerable knowledge of history and my vast experience with just about every diet invented over a period of twenty years. Somehow I would find an acceptable answer to my weight problem.

It took a while, but what I discovered could be called an epiphany: A moment of complete clarity. In that instant I knew I had found the way to achieve a diet free weight loss, one that would become permanent.

Take a look at the following statistics

Obesity statistics in USA Reach Epidemic Proportions

•    58 Million Overweight; 40 Million Obese; 3 Million morbidly Obese
•    Eight out of 10 over 25′s Overweight
•    78% of Americans not meeting basic activity level directions
•    25% totally Sedentary
•    76% increase in Type II diabetes in adults 30-40 yrs old since 1990

Back in the year ’99 they thought that if obesity continued to be a serious danger it was predicted that it would reach rampant levels by the year 2020. The obesity statistics in the western world is also rising at a frightening rate. So I just can’t find what happened!!

Have a look at how you get that weight off and  Start Healthy Living Today

One solution to prevent this undesired result is to make people know about the risks of being overweight or obese. Which is, completely, not going to be apparent.

Here are some health issues that you are
putting yourself in threat of if you are carrying a lot of extra pounds:

1. heart disease
2. stroke
3. diabetes
4. cancer
5. arthritis
6. hypertension

Losing unwanted weight helps to block the entry of and control these diseases.

It is wise to stick to a healthy weight loss option which will give lifetime results. You should set realistic goals and not dream to lose a huge amount of pounds in a short span of time.

Here are some tips on how you can lose those unnecessary pounds the stress-free way:

1.   Do not restrict food your self.

The key to a effective way of losing weight is: Do not abstain consumption.

You may seem relaxed and feel that you are cutting that unwanted fat on your belly and thighs by not having meals. But remember that this would not be a permanent solution. Your physical form cannot tolerate having insufficient supply of food to produce the energy that you use up daily.

2.  Kick off your day right.

Mothers always emphasize that breakfast is the most vital meal of the day. Have a healthy morning meal in the morning to activate your metabolism.

3.  Eat small, healthy meals at regular intervals.

Five broken up portions of snacks per day is effective than three hearty meals. Eating more often, and in small fractions, can prevent over-eating. This will also develop your metabolism and helps calories burn faster.

4.  Make your mind on how much weight you want to cut down.

Keep your targets sensible. In the long run, it is virtually not at all possible for you to lose 40 pounds in a half month. Have a notion that you must eat healthy to stay healthy for the remainder of your life.

Remember Obesity Statistics In USA Are Rising
Start Now To Lose Weight

5.  Drink many litres of water.

Your body needs enough water to dissolve fat and keep your cells hydrated and fresh.

6.  Prevent too much sugar.

Plan your food around a huge amount of fruits and vegetables, some bread, rice or pasta for that carbo boost that you need, plus lean meat and protein rich-foods. Sweets, sodas and pastries should be once-in-a-while dishes only.

7.  Check your fat intake.

Fat is for sure not the culprit to being overweight. You need this to sustain your weight at the perfect level.

There is definitely a thing as healthy fats. Olive, peanuts and canola oil contain them. Tuna, salmon and mackerel possess omega-3 fats which is healthy for the heart.

8.  Be regular at Exercise.

Don’t think of your car if you are only navigating a few blocks from home, climb the stairs instead of the elevator, jog, cycle or skate. Use these things and other home chores if you are too indolent to go to the gym and take drills classes.

Make sure that you do this correctly and you will not even believe that you are already dropping pounds with these day-to-day activities.

It does not matter how much weight you have planned to lose. What is utmost is that you have realistic goals for yourself.

Eat properly, drink lots of water, have enough sleep and exercise. This will show you a more effective chance of cutting weight and improving your health, which would result in a new, healthier you.

Knowledge is the most essential feature and we all ought to be enlightened to the threats we face if we continue down the slippery slope to heftiness.

We must return to the way we were and that means diet free weight loss.  Why? Just look around you. Everybody is getting fat, maybe even you. No one can ignore the changes to the human shape today. We see it everywhere. We notice the difference in just the last decade. It is as if we are gradually morphing into a different species… A very fat species.  When did this begin? At around the time we changed our diet and made dieting a lifestyle.

The fact is, the majority of people are now fat and the problem continues to grow.  At this rate everybody will end up fat eventually. Where people once expected diet free weight loss they now cling to the hope that their weight gain will not turn into obesity or worse. What we see is yet another catastrophe engineered by human beings. This did not have to happen and it can still be changed.

These days, most overweight and obese people share symptoms that were rarely experienced thirty years ago: They tend to dwell on food through the day. Their body will often signal hunger shortly after a big meal.  They have diet cravings for certain foods. They must have it although they know they should not. They are helpless when they binge. They get annoyed if someone tells them to stop eating and angry if someone meddles with their choice of food.

They sound like addicts don’t they?  Well, that’s exactly what they are. The only cure is to eliminate diets and get back to diet free weight loss.

What is diet free weight loss? It is the way your metabolism used to balance your weight, occasionally with a little help from your common sense which alerted you to watch your waistline now and then.

What we have is a widespread, growing addiction which is virtually ignored. It has been on the move for thirty years and it’s still growing.  It began some thirty years ago, when we first changed  the diet which had served us well for centuries.  That’s not that long ago and we can still undo the damage.

In a short period of time we have gone from a vast majority of slim healthy people to a vast majority of fat unhealthy people. If not for the many medical discoveries during recent years, our health and our life expectancy would have likely deminished by now.

The responsibility for this disaster can be directly attributed to untrained, unqualified people who set themselves up as “experts” and convinced us to change our diet.  They offered a new healthy way of eating which turned our long trusted, everyday diet on its head. They were ignorant, but that’s not an excuse when you claim to be experts.

Sure, we believed them. When unqualified people can allude to expertise they do not possess. When they can get massive media exposure to promote a change in our diet, how can we not believe them?  When they can carelessly change people’s lives forever and deny responsibility because the victims were at fault, it tells us that someone, qualified, should have intervened from the start. But no one ever did. Why not?

We cannot afford to sit and wait for someone to act. it will never happen. We each need to take action. We have to cure ourselves and our families of this addiction and return to the food we were designed to eat. If we don’t, the addiction will be passed on to our grandchildren who will pass it on to their children. We need to re-learn how to once again have diet free weight loss. We need to stop asking; how can I cure my weight problem? Instead we each have to act. We need to learn how to stop sugar cravings and all the other cravings we endure.  It’s not difficult, we just need to make a decision to act.

If you change the lives of your children with diet free weight loss, they will go on to change the lives of their children the same way.  That means you can improve the lives of future generations in your own family.  It’s not complicated to learn, it’s not difficult to do and it’s certainly not expensive.

In the seventies, diet free weight loss , was still the norm. It was a restless era. People looked for change in almost everything, even food. A diet that had changed little for centuries was being turned on its head.

It was a time when diet free weight loss was a given. But new fads were being introduced.  We had the Fondue fad, the quiche fad, the pasta fad and many more. Some are still with us.  It seemed more and more people wanted new ways to prepare and eat their food. Manufactured foods were making great inroads. They were called snack foods.  We were also given new sugar coated cereals presented in colorful kid friendly boxes.

More and more people began to put on weight.  Just watching the waistline for a few weeks no longer sufficed. Commercial diets soon found their way into mainstream. These were diets that emphasized solid carbohydrates and fewer calories. Weight problems continued to grow, and diet cravings became an everyday reality.

Today, when we ask ourselves; how can I cure my weight problem, we are speaking for more than sixty percent of the population. Weight gain and Obesity now spreads at a rate no one could have imagined a decade ago.

Clearly the food we eat is wrong. We were slimmer and healthier people before we ever tried the first diet. We need to eliminate diets because they are linked to weight gain not weight loss.

We need to re-activate our metabolism and we can only do that if we get back to the foods our body was meant to digest. In short, we need to eliminate diets, particularly those that require us to curb our calories.

For more than thirty years we have tampered with our metabolism.  We have subjected it to food binges, followed by extreme diets and dangerous detox preparations. We have abused our body with irregular bouts of overeating followed by food depriving diets. We don’t do that and get away with it scot free.  For those who keep doing it obesity is the final penalty.  We must implement a diet free weight loss program and completely eliminate diets as we know them today.

obesity America 2008 warned of obesity in children rates. It is a frightening fact that the majority of people today have a weight problem and sadly that includes our children.  If we continue on this path almost the entire population will be asking; how can I cure my weight problem?

Nobody will try to stop this from happening, except perhaps you.  The problem of weight is not an exciting subject for science research and medicine has never been interested in this area until there is a medical threat like diabetes.  Research funds would be hard to come by because the allied industries, where scientists normally seek their funding are built on the expectation that people will continue to get fat.

You cannot expect to change the world. But this is one time you can make a positive impact on your own family and is that not a good place to start?

It has to begin with you because it starts and ends in your kitchen. You need to prepare for a diet free weight loss for yourself. From there it leads to your partner and your children. Ultimately, you are saving your future grandchildren and their children from a life of weight issues and likely obesity. Now that’s no small thing for anyone to do.

This was a time when diet free weight loss was normal.  It was also a time when pseudo professions would appear, not out of a university but out of suburban homes where self proclaimed experts were tinkering with pet projects. One such group created a niche market they called nutrition. They were ready to launch a diet that almost everybody would need.  You see, they had stumbled on something called cholesterol.  It was bad news for most people because early tests had shown that even slim and healthy people showed high cholesterol readings.

There was a reason for that. The tests were done incorrectly.  There should be two readings; one for the good cholesterol and one for the bad. The true reading is the difference between the two.  Instead, the readings were added together. This meant just about everyone showed a high reading.  Why? They had all grown up on a diet which had changed little for centuries.

The nutritionists had found a way to get instant credibility by simply talking up the dangers of cholesterol and offering a way to fix it. No research, in fact no science at all was ever involved in the work they did. No human trials were conducted to show that the diet had any affect whatsoever on people’s cholesterol.

This was a diet of homemade theories and pet philosophies. It was launched backed only by guesswork and wishful thinking. What was worse is that most people who followed that diet wrongly believed that the nutritionists were genuine scientists who had discovered cholesterol. They trusted they were following scientific recommendations.

It wasn’t long before we wondered; when did America get so fat? How could it have happened? It’s the old story. When you put unqualified people in charge of important matters that concern other people’s welfare, bad things are likely to happen. Not even when nutritionist’s began to speak of cholesterol as their area of expertise did anyone raise a voice of protest.

This untested information promoted as scientific fact, went on to become the dogma on which today’s nutritionist base their philosophy. So what was that diet?  Many people will still remember it as the pyramid diet. It was launched with a poster of a pyramid. It depicted the food groups according to priority. Heavy carbohydrates were at the bottom. It filled one third. Then there was fruit and vegetables, which were at least twenty percent. That meant a diet of at least fifty percent carbohydrates.

When the diet was launched the cholesterol angle caught the media’s attention and the publicity soon induced enough fear to influence thousands of perfectly normal healthy people to start dieting. Even doctors would recommend the diet when a lab result showed a high cholesterol count.

This diet laid the foundation for today’s epidemic of weight problems and obesity.  It has also caused obesity in children rates to reach alarming figures. The diet never proved to have a single positive effect on cholesterol.  To stop this madness, we must eliminate diets and return to what used to be a diet free weight loss.
